  • 13 February (Saturday) - The day preceding Lunar New Year’s Day

  • 15 February (Monday) - The second day of the Lunar New Year

  • 16 February (Tuesday) - The third day of the Lunar New Year

  • 2 April (Friday) - Good Friday

  • 3 April (Saturday)– The day following Good Friday

  • 5 April (Monday) – Easter Monday

  • 6 April (Tuesday) - The day following Ching Ming Festival

  • 1 May (Saturday)- Labour Day

  • 21 May (Friday)- The Buddha's Birthday

  • 16 June (Wednesday) – Tuen Ng Festival

  • 1 July (Thursday) - Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day

  • 23 September (Thursday) - The day following Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival

"As the Lunar New Year's Day in 2010 falls on a Sunday, the day preceding will be designated as an additional general holidays. Also, the Ching Ming Festival and the Easter Monday in 2010 fall on the same day, thus the next following day that is not itself a general holiday will be observed as an additional general holiday," said a Government spokesman.
